Trying to find a vacation rental in Destin, Florida with access to a boat dock is no easy task. Many of the most popular vacation rental websites do not offer a filter option to sort their listings of vacation rentals with a dock for your boat or access to a close by boat ramp. If you are lucky enough to find one, than they will likely leave out the size of the boat the dock will accommodate, the depth of the water, if there is seasonal access or not, or even how much time it will take you to get out to the Gulf from that location. This is why I decided to make my own list and provide it to you with the details you need to know to book your next summer vacation getaway.
The Destin, Florida waters are filled with tasty edible fish and the bay is full of delicious restaurants and fun places to adventure if you own your own boat. Almost any type of boat can be used in some form in the Destin bay (called the Choctawhatchee bay) or the Gulf of Mexico. There are wonderful adventures awaiting you at every turn from skiing, tubing, snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, flats fishing, bay fishing and more.
